Sami Shah

Comedian, Writer, Broadcaster

Sami Shah is an award winning comedian, writer, journalist, and broadcaster. His autobiography I, Migrant was nominated for the NSW Premier's Literary Award, WA Premier's Literary Award, and the Russell Prize for Humour Writing. His latest non-fiction book is Islamic Republic of Australia. Sami has written columns for national and international newspapers and magazines, short stories for anthologies, and documentaries for radio. Shah’s debut novel Fire Boy and its sequel Earth Boy tell the story of a boy from Pakistan with an unusual talent. Shah is currently based in Melbourne, and is a frequent contributor to ABC RN and ABC Melbourne.
